Coach Yann Kumin (a.k.a. Coach Q) has been involved in coaching high school athletics since 2005.

A former football and lacrosse player at Northfield Mount Hermon School, Coach Kumin matriculated to Harvard University in 2000, where he met Hordon Health founder, Marc Hordon. Coach Q graduated in 2004 with a B.A. in History and a focus in International Relations and Central African History.

Following graduation, Coach Kumin taught Algebra and served as the Defensive Line Coach at Edna Karr Secondary School in New Orleans, Louisiana, before returning home to the Boston area.

Since his return, Coach Kumin has served as a positional OL/DL coach and coordinator at Matignon High School, Malden Catholic High School, and Stoneham High School, before accepting the position of Head Football Coach at Belmont High School in 2013. He also teaches American Literature and AP English at Matignon High School in Cambridge, MA.

Coach Kumin became involved with Hordon Health in 2010 and served for 2 years with the Boston Institute of Sports (BIS) as the President of Operations for the Boston Institute of Football (BIF). This involvement was rooted in the fact that never before had Coach Kumin encountered such a functional and complete approach to training athletes that yielded such positive results in both performance and injury prevention.

Although no longer serving as the President of BIF, Coach Kumin remains committed to the ideals of Hordon Health and the BSI family, both with regards to teaching movement and taking a healthy attitude to both sport and life.
